Africa's talking(AT) has provided different API's to bring a solution to arising issues in Africa. With simplified access to telco infrastructure, developers use our powerful SMS, USSD, Voice, Airtime and Payments APIs to bring their ideas to life, as they build and sustain scalable businesses.

AT has a live test environment called sandbox.

Sandbox providers developers with a free test environment that enables them to run programs or execute files without affecting the application, system or platform on which they run. You can do almost everything on sandbox that you could have done on your live account. The added advantage of sandbox is that, it is free; you are not charged for the tests that you do, or the transactions that you make, unlike on Live where you are charged. The sandbox is available on the web and on the android playstore.

Today, we will learn how to set up the web environment.

First let's create an account with Africa's talking. Go to https://africastalking.com/.

click on the login button

Once you have created an account and logged in. You will be redirected to the page bellow. Click on the "Go to sandbox App" button.

You will then be redirected to the page shown below. Click on launch simulator.

click on launch simulator (on the left side of the page).

Once you click on the launch simulator, a new tab will be opened as shown below. Select the country in which you are developing from and the number you will use to test your program.

Once you have correctly typed a valid phone number and clicked on launch, you will be redirected to the simulator as shown below. Choose the service that you'd like to test.

That's how easy it is to set up your sandbox test environment with AT. Happy Coding!
